My friend Meredith, and her three month old sweet baby Ian, joined me for an afternoon of holiday cookie baking. I selected the cookies and she helped me scoop, bake and sample (purely for quality control purposes!) the cookies. Most of these cookies are destined for our friends’ bellies, but we couldn’t help keeping a few for ourselves.
I picked all these recipes to give a variety of flavors and textures to the assortment and they all worked really well together. What cookies are you making this holiday season?
Chewy Molasses Cookies – A really great, flavorful cookie! The spices work beautifully together and its not an overly sweet cookie.
Dulce de Leche Macaroons – Lovely coconut-y and caramel-y cookie. Love the texture and flavors of this yummy macaroon.
Holiday Crinkle Cookies – I can’t over describe my love for these. Don’t overbake them and they will be soft, moist and deliciously chocolaty for days.
Oatmeal Cookies with Dark Chocolate, Dried Cherries and Walnuts – This oatmeal cookie is my go to for oatmeal cookies. The cookie has a lot of lift and is soft and chewy – the perfect oatmeal cookie. Its very adaptable to add ins, including my favorite, dark chocolate chips. I added in the cherries and walnuts to make them a little more complex. So good.
They all look SO GOOD!! Definitely making the molasses ones 🙂
